Before you can ever legitimately ask a credible website to post a link to your site you must be credible as well. The best way to do this is “content management”. You must have a “Research Tab” with an exhaustive free library of pertinent informative legal articles. Make it a point to have articles that pertain to your areas of expertise. Put it in your tasks list to spend time on a daily basis writing articles that are a minimum of 200 words per article. Encourage administrative staff to spend time each day writing an article or two on a daily basis as well. Your legal staff should produce informative documents as well.
Look at key word searches in your area of expertise as well as the overall legal field, write articles on law changes, but especially write articles on the questions your clients or potential clients are asking you and your staff. Current events that affect the legal industry, the country, political climate in the country and those issues that impact the communities you serve are essential to be added to your library.
You may want to hire a copywriter, researcher or apply to the local universities for interns. When an individual applies to work for your law firm require that they write a scholarly article on their expertise. Let them know that if it is above average you will post it in the article library. There are many ways to get quality research articles for your website. Remember by enriching others you will enrich your firm!
