Building a business whether it is a restaurant, computer store or a law firm success is not measured solely in dollars and cents. If your business is based upon money during the tough times it may be too overwhelming to stay on course. Stick-to-it-ive-ness is needed somewhere along the line for all business people and entrepreneurs.
How do you find the strength deep down inside to keep going during the tough times? Have a crusade! What is a crusade? It is the belief that what you are doing is right. You love to do it and you do it because it is good. It gets you motivated when you think of it. It is the glue that binds your team together.
As a leader it is imperative to build a team that will rally around the firms crusade. Locating and recruiting paralegals, administrative staff, and legal staff that are motivated by the firms mission and vision is essential for a successful law firm. Your job as a leader is to sell the dream of a better future for your staff and clients. Firms that focus on their area of expertise as a crusade to eradicate an injustice have that extra ounce of courage during the tough times.
Crusades add meaning to ones life. Crusaders make stronger more successful teams. Crusaders work harder, stay longer when necessary, and do it with a positive attitude. Crusaders offer a team all the makings of a productive and successful law firm. If you want to build a law firm that makes a difference, be a crusader for justice!
