A number of leading industry experts were appointed by Control Risks, a leading international business risk consultancy, to its eDiscovery team. Those appointed included Thomas McCotter, Jorge Montanez, Terry Chopiuk and Ashley Smith. The appointments considerably improved the global legal technologies capabilities of the company.
The President and CEO of the Americas, Jim Brooks, commented on the appointments, saying, “The expanded Legal Technologies team provides Control Risks with the additional expertise needed to continue delivering world class solutions in a business environment that has seen an unprecedented increase in complex, multi-national litigation and an exponential increase in electronically stored information. These factors create the necessity for technologically advanced legal support and services.”
The global team will be headed by Jorge Montanez. He is the Global Director and Senior Vice President of Legal Technologies and will be responsible for formulating strategies in the global market, as well as practice management and development.
Mr. Montanez has twenty-years of experience in multi-party, data-intensive and geographically distributed litigation. He has also worked with various domestic and multinational clients across multiple sectors.
