An ordinance was signed by the Mayor of Los Angeles requiring that condoms be worn by porn stars while shooting some scenes. The move has caused some adult film companies to threaten to leave the state of California and is actually now said to be considering transferring to Arizona.

According to Taryn Thomas, a porn star, “Condoms or no condoms, people are still gonna watch porn.”

Thomas has been in the porn industry for ten years. She is in favor of the new law which was just sign this week by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

Thomas also said, “In my time in the industry, I’ve only caught an STD once and that was Chlamydia and that was treatable.”

Los Angeles is regarded as the porn center of the country. Companies involved in porn film production are threatening to transfer to other state, but Thomas does not believe that they will move to Arizona.

Porn shoots are legal in only two states, namely, New Hampshire and California.

She said, “They don’t seem to think anybody really is going to relocated to Phoenix..they’re saying Miami and Las Vegas because that’s where studios have already gone.”

Thomas also said that she believes that Arizona is too conservative for the porn industry.
