Litera recently announced that Norm Thomas, who has served as director of Microsoft Corporation’s industry market development for legal and professional services for the past eight years, has joined the firm as its new vice president of business development. Litera is one of the leading providers of advanced productivity solutions designed for legal and professional markets.
The CEO of Litera, Deepak Massand, enthusiastically welcomed the addition of Thomas in their firm.
Massand said, “We are delighted to welcome Norm Thomas into the Litera family. Norm’s expertise will help build strategic relationships and plan joint ventures, enabling us to strengthen our relationships throughout the legal and corporate sectors, extending the respected Litera brand into new global markets.”
A Certified Public Accountant, Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Southern California – Marshall School of Business, as well as an MBA in Finance from the University of Washington. In 1997, Thomas joined Microsoft Corp and for almost 15 years, was responsible for the company’s enterprise business development, creating strategic partnerships, and building the systems, tools and training for sales and marketing execution.
Before he joined Microsoft, Thomas was a client partner at Cambridge Technology Partners specializing in enterprise-scale project management and client development.
On the part of Thomas, he said, “I have known Litera and its founders for almost ten years and am impressed by their ethics, client focus and the leapfrogging strides their technology has made in the content lifecycle space.”
