58 Congressional Candidates Back Poker Players Alliance

10/27/2010

58 Congressional candidates promoting gambling interests are supported by the Poker Players Alliance or PPA. One of those that they are supporting is Barney Frank. He, along with several others, have been working tirelessly just to promote the interest of gamblers in the country.

In fact, PPA has already released the names of the candidates whom they believe would give ample support to the issues on gambling.

PPA has been working hard trying to push through Barney Frank’s HR 2267, and they were also trying to get rid of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. Various gaming experts share the belief that the HR 2267 would pass this year. But one thing that PPA has surely done is that the issue on online gambling surfaced and has become one of the hot topics in Capitol Hill.

In the list produced by PPA, there were about 2 challengers and 56 incumbents. The two challengers were, Joe Garcia (D-FL) and John Callahan (D-PA). Others were Michael Bennett (D-CO), Shelly Berkley (D-NV), Ron Paul (R-TX), Harry Reid (D-NV), John Larson (D-CT), ,Pete Sessions (R-TX) and Robert Scott (D-VA) among others.

On November 2, it will then be up to the people whether the candidates they would choose shall let the legalization of online gaming take its stand.
